abc's "v"

abc's "v"

All the fans of ABC hit show “Lost” are still in shock because of Juliet’s tragic fate at the end of Season Five. What all we were afraid is a fact Juliet is dead.

Elizabeth Mitchell won’t comeback for the sixth season because she’s been hired in a leading role in one of the ABC candidate shows to take Lost’s place once it ends in the 2010 spring. The series is “V” and it’s a a remake of 70’s / 80’s cult tv show.

We indeed hope this tv show works so we can see Elizabeth for long, long, time. I still wish ABC lets her to take a 10 minutes cameo in Lost finale season so she can have a happy ending as Juliet Burke, she’s my favorite character of Lost. But I understand that it’s more atractive to be the “V” main character.

By the way “V” is candidate to be a part of this blog as well. Just time will tell what’s about to come.

This episode I just can say it’s amazing, it’s a very clear example that even not action-oriented episodes (and stories in general) can be interesting when the have excellent writers, well they’re Elizabeth Sarnoff and Kyle Pennington: well I just can say congratulations to them, I’ve been checking and they’ve written really good episodes (together only Cabin Fever); this episode is so good, that it even works as a finale for the whole series, in fact I could stop watching LOST in this episode and don’t feel any remorse for not watching the next ones , yah I can take that, there have been few Sawyer-centric episodes but this one was no doubt excellent, I will give a 9.99/10 to this episode even when they’re not talking about killinng people, conspiracy or physics, it’s just humanity and Josh’s performace was increadible as well, and Elizabeth Mitchell was even greater, I won’t say this Sawliet is better than Jackate (weird word isn’t it), but they’ve got their own merit, so let’s recap:

After losing John, the island got its last time jump, they headaches for Sawyer, Miles, Juliet and Daniel just stop, so they are sure John was successfull and their way to the beach they find some guys are trying to hurt Amy, so Juliet (damn I love that girl) kill one of them and Sawyer (astonished) kill the other one, when they arrive to the small town Dharma made (they’re on 1974 now) she set thems uo, when they wake up Horace tells him they’re alive because they saved Amy.

Sawyer tells Horace they were on a shipwreck and she tells him, his name is James LaFleur (so finally this is Sawyer’s real name), then Alpert shows up and he wants something in return for killing two of the “hostiles”; Sawyer talks to him and tells him that he met him in the 50s and he warned them about the Nuclear Device (of course this is going to be used to destroy that island in the final episode of LOST), Alpert demands then only Amy’s husband body. The renew the truce and James, Juliet, Miles and Daniel (oh damn AND JIN!) are hired by the Dharma Initiative.

Three years later we find Amy’s having a baby, and James ask Juliet to help her, she says it’s a bad idea since every pregnant women she tried to help died in labor, James convinces her, and lucky for everyone Amy’s  (and Horace’s) daughter is born in perfect shape. Then we find Juliet and Sawyer are living together and the rest of the guys are working for the Dharma Initiative. One morning Sawyer is called by Jin, so he goes to that place and Jin has brought Jack, Kate and Hurley.

TO BE CONTINUED…

This episode of Lost is great, Lost once again doesn’t need too much to be one of the greatest shows ever, what I love about this show is how the leading role is not permanent, so we can feel how our characters are growing up, watching their deep feelings. I was happy with the last Desmond/Daniel episode and in this all new episode the ball was in Sawyer/Kate hands, and it was great, but let’s recap now.

Oceanic Six.

Sun feels so much hate dude!

Sun feels so much hate dude!

In a flashback to the moments after the freighter explosion, Kate tells Jack she needs hold Aaron with her, because she’s lost a lot of people in that island, so Jack convince her the only way to do that is by lying about Aaron’s true origins.

Mr. Norton is revealed to be Ben's lawyer.

Mr. Norton is revealed to be Ben's lawyer.

Back to 2008, Kate is with Sun and Aaron and Sun is giving an excellent use to her money by investigating Ben, and she finds out he and Jack are together, Kate decides to talk to Mr. Norton the lawyer wanting the blood samples from her and Aaron. Kate wants a deal, she’s giving the blood samples just if the identity of  Mr. Norton’s client is revealed, Mr. Norton tells Kate he will try but he’s sure his client is gonna say NO. Kate decides take care of this problem by herself and she is going to follow the lawyer.

In the hospital Sayid and Jack are interrupted by a hot female doctor, who states Jack just can’t practice medicine because he has no licence, meanwhile a male nurse shows up on Sayid’s room, but oh surprise he’s not a nurse but he wants to take him down. But oh surprise again Sayid is who takes him down, and he finds an address in the nurse’s pocket. Sayid, Jack and Ben gets out of the hospital and Jack calls Kate, he needs her to be safe (meaning she must come back to island with them).

Jack meets Kate in LA Downtown, and Kate is surprised Jack doesn’t look like a homeless guy anymore, but Mr. Norton is leaving the building and Kate follows him, with Jack who takes the free ride. Mr. Norton goes to a hotel where Claire’s mom is living. Jack tells Kate he’s solving it, but when Jack is trying to convince Claire’s mom Kate’s a good woman, but clearly Claire’s mom doesn’t know even who Aaron is. Jack lets Kate know that.

Later we learn Mr. Norton is Ben’s lawyer and he’s actually working his ass to get Hugo out of jail. Kate is taken to the marina where Ben and Sayid are, Kate realizes Ben is the client, and they start arguing but Sun is watching the scene with Aaron so she takes out a gun and she’s up for anything.

The Guys on the Island.

Time jumping wouldn't be as safe as we think.

Time jumping wouldn't be as safe as we think.

Locke, Sawyer, Julieth, Miles, Daniel and Charlotte are still dealing with the time jumping stuff. Charlotte is bleeding and she’s been unconscius for several minutes, so Locke thinks going to the orchid in order to fix the time travel stuff. So in the way there, Locke and Sawyer see the light from the hutch, so that happened a few time ago, then they hear a woman screaming, Sawyer go alone and he finds Kate helping Claire when she was having the baby. Then time jumps once again.

Thank You, Lord!

Thank You, Lord!

Miles starts bleeding his nose and he tells Daniel, when they arrive to the beach they can’t find Rose, Bernard and the rest of the guys, so it’s likely they’ve escaped in the Zodiac, but from who? they find two canoes, maybe the survivors were running from the guys on the canoes.

Oh Crap!

Oh Crap!

So, the Island Six (lol) take one of the canoes and go after the survivors but the owners of the canoes are not exactly happy since they’re shooting to them, just in time the time jumps again and they’re not in danger because people shooting but for a huge storm. We the guys reach the beach find some stuff with french inscriptions.

Jin's alive!!

Jin's alive!!

The french guys rescue a body from the ocean in the middle of the storm and it’s JIN, (HE’S ALIVE WHOA), when they reach the beach, Jin realizes that one of the french guys is Danielle Russoe. (OMG!)

Well, I know this is not a Lost-oriented blog, but having in mind that a lot of Heroes fans are also Lost fans, me included, I’m starting writting about Lost.

Well last night episode was “Because You Left”, those three words are really touching, it’s almost the shortest tale of the world, it’s got a beginning, a climax and an end. Well I’m gonna give a 9.5/10 to this episode, well it was a good episode but it wasn’t a perfect episode (like season 3 finale).

But it’s interesting, because you don’t see a fight for the leading role (what it does happen in Heroes) the leading is the story and it’s an excellent story, where our characters take part. Well things are getting worst for the castaways after Ben moved the island, now they’re jumping in time, and the only who really knows what’s going on is Daniel Faraday, who was seen in a flashforward/flashback where he was when the stations where buildt.

John Lock as always happen got the worst part of the new changes, first he got shot by Ethan just after almost being killed by the plane where Eko’s brother died, so he is now a witness of the plane crash. But too bad for him Ethan (yah the dead guy) shows up and shoot him, and lucky for him the time jumps just in the second when Ethan is gonna kill him for good. Then Albert came to rescue the next leader of the island, he takes off the bullet and he tells John he have to return a compass to him the next time they see each other.

Kate and Hurley are in serious troubles because in first place someone knows Aaron’s not Kate’s son, so she (as usual) just runs, lucky for her Sun is in Los Angeles and they hides the child. Sun and Charlie Widmore have a serious conversation they both want to kill Ben Linus once and for all. Hurley is taken out the mental Institution by Sayid, just to be ambushed, now Hugo (always so stupid) grabs the gun and then he’s the main suspect of several guys Sayid killed, Sayid now is under the effects of a powerfull sleeping drug, but before he had to tell Hugo not to trust Ben, ever. So when Ben, with Jack’s help are trying to reunite the Oceanic Six to come back to the island, Jack helps Sayid, but Hugo (so stupid) gives himself to the police.

Now the old lady, this guy Desmond saw when he had his live flashback, Mrs. Hawking tells Ben he just have 70 hours to make the Oceanic Six back to the island or thw world is gonna end.

While in the island, Sawyer, Julieth, Faraday and the British chick and Miles are also under the effects of the time jumping, and suddenly Sawyer lost a lot of his muscles and he doesn’t look like the hottest underwear model anymore, but that happened in just one second, well Sawyer can’t believe what’s going on. Faraday alerts past-Desmond to find Mrs. Faraday (his mother) in order to prevent a physical tragedy in the Universe.

The best of this episode is the nickname Sawyer gives to this physics singularity BITCH!.

Well this episode was great, the end is coming and we’re seeing that Kate and Jack are coming back to the island so soon, that we won’t have to time to get bored so keep watching Lost and Heroes next week big premier.
